Chester County Thresholds

Chester County Prison is located five miles southwest of West Chester, PA, off of Route 52.

You can reach their Internet web site at:

          www.ThresholdsChesco.org

The main prison accommodates more than 1,000 inmates.  It also has a work Release facility, and a Youth Center.  Inmates are classified as minimum, medium or maximum security.  Thresholds generally works only with minimum security inmates.

Chester County Prison administration, from the warden to correction officers, is highly supportive of the Thresholds presence and impact.  Only inmates who want to take part in the program are accepted into it.

Volunteers who want to teach in the program receive a two-day weekend training course, similar to The Thresholds in Delaware County program.  The Thresholds 8 week cycle is taught in the fall, winter and spring.  You can choose which session you prefer.
