We celebrate the 2nd Annual Delco Gives Day. Delco Gives, hosted by The Foundation for Delaware County, is a community-wide celebration to support local nonprofits. In its inaugural year, 2024, 9,600 donors contributed over $1.7 million to nearly 300 nonprofits serving Delaware County. Building on this incredible momentum, we’re excited to make an even greater impact in 2025. To learn more about Delco Gives, click here: https://www.delcogives.org/

Our Mission is quite simply, to reduce recidivism in Delaware County’s correctional facilities (SCI and GWHill) through the delivery of a six-step decision-making program that has been in existence since the 1970s. We are an entirely volunteer organization. We have no “administration” costs, and all donations go directly to our annual operating budget of $20,000. This budget is needed to pay our prison Coordinators for their invaluable time, efforts, and experience in recruiting and training teachers, recruiting clients who are incarcerated, and navigating the complex corrections system in to accommodate our program. As such, costs associated with supporting our two (2) Coordinators are currently $1,600 per month. To put this relatively minimal cost into perspective, it costs Delaware County taxpayers an average of $1,800 per month to incarcerate one person. To learn more about the quantifiable impact that we have on society and how we reduce taxpayer burden significantly, email us at [email protected] We sincerely appreciate your support.
